CAFF PARTNERSHIP

We are proud to be in partnership with Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF) as we build business opportunities for local family farmers and farm workers in the area. CAFF builds partnerships between family farms and their communities, so they are a natural ally for us in our mission to bring fresh-cut produce from local Bay Area farmers into our community’s schools, hospitals and other institutions.

CAFF has been working with farmers in the North Coast Counties for over 20 years, and has a well-established chapter made up of farmer/ranchers and community food activists. CAFF is working with People’s Harvest to:

​  Connect farmers with our aggregation hub

​  Provide our food safety manual to farmers

​  Provide “standard pack” information to farmers

​  Develop fee-for-service opportunities to both farmers and distributors
