OUR TEAM

Our Head of Operations, Michael Paik, C.E.C., sets the tone for the work we do here at People’s Harvest.

Michael is a certified executive chef who graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. He spent thirty years as a professional chef across all disciplines of the culinary arts, learning everything there is to know about the food business and teaching future chefs at Oklahoma State University for over ten years. Here in the North Bay, he most recently ran a successful nonprofit whose mission was to teach culinary arts to the homeless in Napa County and secure them job placements in local restaurants. He is also certified in all aspects of food safety and good agricultural practice.

People’s Harvest is a social enterprise business of the non-profit, Buckelew Programs, and is partially funded by REDF and Marin Community Foundation. For over 40 years, Buckelew has been leading the way to help people lead healthy, productive lives. As a part of our dedication to supporting community, a portion of our workforce is comprised of people who face barriers to employment such as disabled veterans. When you purchase produce from People’s Harvest, you become a partner in supporting a diverse workplace.
